Design Process.

Preliminary Work.

While an interview process generally provides a clear indication of your likes and dislikes, it is always helpful if you have some idea for a layout that appeals to your individual taste.  We have all seen websites that intrigue and others that simply turn us off.  Perhaps you might have an idea of colour scheme, or even a website or two that resonates with you – that’s a great starting point!

Once you have supplied the content, logos and photos that you wish to have included, (Deborah can also arrange photography, if needed) then the designing can begin.  Deborah will upload a copy of the layout so you can view it online.  When you have approved the design and the content, then your work is done! 

It is important that you are completely happy at this stage, as design and content changes after this point may be subject to additional cost. 

Final Approval.

Once all pages are complete,  your new web pages will be uploaded into a temporary directory so you can view it and ensure it meets with your approval.  Upon receipt of the payment in full, the files are transferred to your server and your site is live and in business.

What's Included.

Included in your website price is a unique design and layout; graphics creation; resizing and optimizing photos; search engine optimization; keywords, titles and page descriptions; any changes and adjustments made prior to final design approval, uploading files and verifying for accuracy.

Copyright.

Unless web content has been provided by the client, copyright remains with the writer until the final invoice has been paid, upon which time full copyright for content transfers to the website customer.

Search Engine Optimization.

Search Engine Optimization is a collection of tricks and tools that developers can use (but don’t always…and some charge extra) to ensure your website ranks well in search engine listings. When Deborah creates the content and design for your website, she provides this service at NO EXTRA CHARGE. As well, she provides suggestions that you can do to increase the ranking and promotion of your website.
