    Circa 1812, this home is the birthplace of W. H. Steeves, one of the Fathers of Confederation. The museum is restored to its original state and is well worth a visit. Tours available.

    This tourist railroad and museum is operated by a small group of volunteers. It has two operating diesel engines, both built by Montreal Locomotive Works and Canadian National.

    Located at 3940 Route 114, just 2 Km North from the Hopewell Rocks.
    Open daily mid-June to mid-September, 9:30 am to 5:30 pm.

    This site was the centre of community life in Albert County for well over a century before becoming a museum in 1960. 
    Two buildings, - the County Jail and the old Municipal Building - were built in 1845.  A third, the County Court House, was destroyed by fire and rebuilt in 1904.  Albert County Jail and Museum
    Visit the museum and earn about Canada’s 11th Prime Minister, R. B. Bennett, who came from Albert County.  You'll also learn about our areas pioneers, artisans, explorers, shipbuilders, farmers, a few charlatans and one convicted axe murderer.
