The Hopewell Rocks

From the world famous Hopewell Rocks,
to the pristine Fundy National Park, Albert County's beauty and unspoiled landscape will amaze you.

These are some of the more well-known attractions.  But dig a little deeper.  Take your time and look around.  We have so much more to enjoy.

The sometimes wild and tumultuous Cape Enrage is truly worthy of its name...

Cape Enrage Lighthouse

But don't be fooled.  This spectacularly wild and rugged landscape can just as easily be a serene and peaceful respite from the summer's heat.

With adventures in canoeing, kayaking and rappelling to accompany the century old lighthouse and lighthouse keeper's home restored to a tearoom, it has become a favorite place to appreciate and learn about the diverse geology of the Fundy Coastline....

The NB Trail

NB Trail in Autumn's Colors

With access at the junction of Routes 114 and 915, and also off Route 114 at Shepody, our 14 km of NB Trail is the only portion of the Canada Trail which traverses a covered bridge!  Fall is an especially beautiful time to hike or bike the trail.

The Fundy Trail Parkway

Fundy Trail ParkwayThe Fundy Trail Parkway is a seasonal, multi-use coastal trail, which twists and winds from St. Martins to the Big Salmon River.  When complete, it will continue all the way to Fundy National Park.  At this time, the parkway has:

  • a low speed roadway with scenic lookouts, beaches and picnic areas;
  • a pedestrian/bicycle trail that winds along the coast;
  • shuttle bus transport for hikers on weekends
  • footpaths to beaches, waterfalls and river estuaries;
  • Old Sea Captain's Cemetery
  • an Interpretive Centre at Big Salmon River where you can learn all about the history of the area.
  • Terrific freshwater swimming holes in the Big Salmon River
  • Suspension footbridge across the Big Salmon.
  • Hiking trails to the secluded Hearst Lodge and other scenic lookouts
  • Nearby kayaking tours of the coastline.

Crooked Creek Lookout & Trails

Located in Riverside Albert, the Crooked Creek Lookout is a tranquil spot to spend the afternoon.  Drive or hike to the lookout and picnic tables overlooking a hardwood ridge that blazes into incredible color in autumn.

  Explore the creek for the perfect swimming hole, or search for the hidden falls.

  Walk or bike the lower road to one of Albert County's remaining covered bridges.
