The
Hopewell Rocks - Ocean Tidal Exploration Site
- Tidal Bore – Hillsborough
Wetlands Park – Lookout Deck – Main Street, Hillsborough – The Tidal Bore
comes through Hillsborough approximately one hour after low tide
time at the Hopewell Rocks. Although the height of the Bore has
diminished in the past twenty years, the power has not. Take the
time to listen as it passes by the lookout deck and you will hear
the roar from billions of gallons being pulled up the river.
- Harvey Bank Shipyard Interpretive Site
- located on the Mary's Point Road (just off Route 915 near
Riverside-Albert) the site of one of our historic shipyards and restored
wharf. A dam now regulates the outflow from the Shepody
River to the Bay, but it is still a miraculous place to
witness the height of the Fundy Tides
- Alma Wharf - on Main Street in Alma
- see the fishing boats resting on the ocean's floor, then watch
as the tide raises them level with the wharf.
