Why Hire a Professional Writer?

Advertorials

An advertorial is part advertisement and part editorial.  While it is certainly biased in that it promotes a single advertiser's product, service or point of view, it has more credibility with the readership than an advertisement and less objectivity than an editorial.

Most companies hire a professional writer to write the advertorial, then pay advertising rates to have it printed in magazines and newspapers.  Sometimes graphic design companies are hired for layout.  Deborah offers both professional writing and graphic design services.

To write an advertorial, the writer must become very knowledgeable about the product or service being promoted, as well as the business.  This is usually accomplished through a combination of interviews and by providing the writer previous advertorials, brochures, article reprints, press kits and any other relevant material.

Normally, the client retains the copyright for the advertorial and may use it at their discretion.

Sample Advertorial - PropertyGuys.com wanted an article written specifically for a franchise magazine in hopes of attracting franchisee candidates.
